work in progress - where the wild roses grow

I saw these socks at my local yarn shop - and wanted right away to knit them for my mother. However, as I do not have much time for knitting, the progress is rather slow.

I wanted to knit a reinforced (I am not sure about the correct term 😊) heel, and it turned out to be very small - we will see what the socks become 😬
